Our association aims to promote, conserve, protect and safeguard the historical, popular and environmental heritage of the hamlet of Fontchristianne and the surrounding area.
We are very attached to our little hamlet of FONTCHRISTIANNE which is located below the Fort des Têtes, on the road to the legendary Col d'Izoard and its heritage, the Saint Joseph chapel, the two wash houses and the small chapel at the top of the hamlet ...
Its name comes from "Christian fountain" and its extension dates from the 18th century, as evidenced by the numerous engraved stones on the village houses, at the time of the construction of the Vauban forts.
Today the priority for the association is the small chapel which is deteriorating year after year, hence the urgency of restoring it!
